In many cases, early detection and treatment of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, crossed eyes and some forms of macular degeneration can prevent loss of sight and even blindness.
A comprehensive eye exam by Dr. Romanoff should be performed between the ages of 4 to 5 years of age. Thereafter, routine eye care is recommended every two years until the age of 60 when eye exams should be performed on an annual basis.
